Order of Operations Explanation

Here I have made a video of how to do the Order of Operations Math.

The water expo

Yesterday, 12 students from Tauranga Intermediate and a teacher (Mr Mossop) went by bus to Paengaroa. We went and sat down on the grass and the host of the expo told us about the words in the karakia we were about to sing. It was about the water and gods.

Next the Tauranga Intermediate group went for a little tramp to a bridge and a small river. There was a bucket full of plastic balls and each of them had the name of some type of pollution on it. For example, oil, plastic and tin. We walked a little bit upstream and we tipped all the balls out into the water and then our instructor, Toby, gave us some butterfly nets. We ran down to the bridge and tried to fish out all the balls. There was a couple that were stuck on the rocks upstream. It showed us that you should not pollute the water because it is hard to get out.

The highlight of the day was seeing the different sized eels. The largest one was about one metre long.

This week room 41 has been doing Technology. I have been doing Art and my group has been print making with carved wood. On our wood we had to draw a little boat.
